Virgin Mk3
Passenger Carriage 1st and 2nd Class
(R4097B
and R4096C)
Rating 7/10

This is a mark 3 carriage in a rather attractive Virgin livery, suitable to be
run with virgin 43 (125), 90, 47 to name three. The exterior detailing on this
model is very good with detailed bogies, overhead warning signs, coach numbers,
and flush glass. This model is scale length and there are many different
numbered versions of this model allowing you to create an accurate full length
train. Although this models exterior has a high standard of finish the interior
is very poor, with just red plastic moulded seats. I suppose for the price you
can't ask for more. The new Pullman carriages with lights and high levels of
interior and exterior are more than twice the price. This models track handling
ability is very good with it being able to run through standard Hornby points at
full speed (using a 125). This model due to its scale length doesn't take 2nd
radius track.

Virgin Mk3
Buffet Carriage
(R4098D)
Rating 6/10

This mark 3 (mk3) buffet carriage in a rather attractive Virgin livery, has the
same levels of exterior detail as the 2nd and 1st class open carriage above, but
the Interior is even worse. There appears to have been no sign of an attempt to
make the catering area. Like the passenger carriage this model also runs well
but also has red plastic moulded seats. This model due to its scale length
doesn't take 2nd radius track.
