Lima tend to build exclusively modern diesel locomotives and carriages. Lima
has been bought by Hornby, so expect to see improvements to both lima and Hornby
ranges. You can buy Lima models at any good model shops. There detailing is
always good with you often having to assemble little bits of extra detailing
(this is very easy). The motor they use has a distinct noise which I quite like.
They work well at low speeds and high speeds even though the ones I have don't
have 5 poll motors. One thing I have noticed with lima models is that there
wheels need cleaning often, to keep there good performance. They always need a
run before they work well. I have 3 locos:
