but the black 5 would be longer, possibly more powerful, looks better, sound better, smell better, and there would have been more skill gone into it and running it :)

Therefore giving you a better deal than any car :P

You could buy a full sized loco for that kind of money, anyone for a class 03 shunter for the weekend?

Theres a steam loco called 'Victor' for sale a few years ago, still had a 3 years on it's boiler certificate and the owner was asking for £38,000 for it :P It was a saddle tank of sorts.
