This is the fiddle yard. The TMD on the top level will be a bolt on later, hence why it isn't connected.

Hello to anyone following this. Had some time off work to get some progress made with this now. Although it's actually under construction, the plan is still changing. This is the latest. I've learnt lessons from some earlier versions and made up a small test track to practice wiring of points, leds for mimic panels and home made signals etc. I've also binned the Dynamis in favour of the Hornby Elite. The lower level is laid now, just need to start wiring in points/decoders etc as and when time and money permit.

I think it'll soon need some photos to bring the obvious careful planning, considerable size and complexity to life!

Ha ha, maybe later on today when I get back up there. It's such a tight space it's awkward to get a decent photo. I have however also rigged up more lighting, (contributing factor to the Dynamis going possibly?) so it might photograph better now.

Nice looking layout plan. Dynamis has been known to have issue with fluorescent lights. Other than that thought it is a great little system and I choose mine over the Elite.

Update.

Due to the house being up for sale I stopped all work on the layout. The plan is when we do move I will build the layout in a 20x10 garden shed. The plan has changed again slightly due to the extra length, but also due to the fact I will need to get in via a door, rather than a hole in the floor!
I know I said it wouldn't be a quick project but I was hoping to be further ahead than I am a year down the line!

This is it, just the top level. The right hand side has the hidden track where the trains will decend to the lower level through the magic of tunnels. Also the door will be placed where the single track is on the far right for ease of access, when needed I will be able to remove that section completely.

Good luck with the sale, try a tunnel under the shed saves messing around with flaps and doors unless you are a great limbo dancer or pole vaulter.
Enjoying the ride playing trains like never before. Building a model railway but not too specialised.

UPDATE
Hello again to anyone reading the thread. Well I've moved house, but the garden was too nice to stick a massive shed on so i decided to see if I could use the wasted space down the side of the house. Using the Anyrail software I took my St Davids layout and tweaked it to fit in a space 10m long by 1.1m wide. Just enough to get a helix in!
The result is what you now see.
I quite like the extra length as its giving me a much more realistic length to work with. The two lines that run off the layout on the right are a possible extension route to the garden.
The layout has two helix's to take the trains down to the lower level with its fairly large fiddle yard which can store 18 trains (6-8 coaches/power cars) fully made up.

The sheds almost finished so work will start, probably by Xmas!

I never said this would be a quick project!! :D

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not?
I like your 2 hour layout though, I'm dying to get started on mine!
