Its a commission from Ian at Mercig Studios mate. I have a RTC departmental class 97 from Mercig and it's fantastic!!!

Thanks for the comments gents. The Deltic is indeed a Mercig model and very nice it is too. The only model I've weathered myself is my dummy class 40 - painted the bogies and used some Tamiya powders on it.

Hi Matthias,

The fencing is from Gem - see here. I can't remember wether it was the 6ft or 8ft high ones I got. They're ref N702 onwards anyway.

I should think there will always be a few bits and bobs I can add to this layout or change, but I'll be starting to build an exhibition layout with a friend soon!

thanks for giving me that link. My problem is the only way to purchase serious amounts of details is (quite thankfully!) via NGS but they have no pics in their list so for a foreigner like me it's sometimes difficult to find out what they do actually offer. Fleetline is a fine range that is, I'll have a closer view on that.

I really like this layout, especially its era. Im kind of heading towards the same thing and modelling the 80's in general.
Liking the Deltic too. Looks the part.
