Thanks guys, I hope to do the same to an N15 when I can afford one, and you shall all be pleased to know the N now has the same livery on both sides! Just needs a varnish to hide some of the white spirit smears.

Also, have wired in the relay control and all the isolating sections for the main loop, so I can now run trains again, and also am happy to say the relay works! So now both controllers have control over the mainline at a flick of a switch!

DA! DA! DA! DA! "If you go down to Willow Farm...."

I ought to do an update here really:

Ummmm yeah, the storage sidings went all wibbly so I took them up and am in the process of making them into a sort of terminus arrangement.

21C155 "Fighter Pilot" has arrived on the railway and is due to become s21C155 with BRITISH RAILWAYS on the tender.

Not really much else to say, the railway hosted Wenchfords 3MT 82021 for a month as a "try before you buy", as I am looking for one myself! Was a great success and I thank Dan for the opportunity. Other than that, its too hot in the loft to do anything else!

Thanks! Unfortunately 35005 isn't mine, but a friends who is currently layoutless and as a result Can Pac is long term resident. However she doesn't get as much running as she ought to!

Hopefully more of such backscenes will appear in due course, once the trackwork is done and the construction of the tunnel!

OK, so my last post was almost 3 months ago, alas Whimsey Hill (aka Wibbly Hill after the track buckles over the summer) is not dead and forgotten but still plodding away!

Since last time I have reconfigured the storage sidings into a Terminus station arragnement awaiting construction of a loco depot and facilities, and the existing station has all been wired in. In the meantime, a few new arrivals have popped up!

Firstly 73004 "The Bluebell Railway" was bought in to assist with construction

Image

Along with Class 20 20217

Image

On the steam front, 21C155 Fighter Pilot has arrived and is in transformation to BR guise as S21C155

Image
Image

Next up is 75033 which was stored at Wenchford briefly, to become 75075 which was a Tunbridge Wells West resident

Image

Lastly, M7 676 from Horsted Keynes has arrived and quickly become 30054

Image

Also on the workbench, my old Ibvatt 2 Tank 41243 has had a makeover (like my own one 41306) and the body has been merged with a tender loco body and chassis. Once finished, this locomotive will become 41312 and reside at Wenchford! Loco still awaiting steps and injectors plus painting of the new rear frames. Once this is done the locomotive will move location for Dan to do the finishing touches (number etc)

The finished item will look a little like this:

Hi Kenny,

Thanks! I'm not 100% sure M7's were ever in that livery, but took a chance on it, I think it looks quite smart! Just needs varnishing to cover over the spirit stains on the tanks. Oh and some careful removal of the old numbers on the bunker back and the front headstock. Hopefully s21C155 will sport BRITISH RAILWAYS on the tender soon too.
